1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Discount Alert (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by LICEPTIK LOGIC SRL, Mun. Târgu-Jiu, Ale. Castanilor, Nr. 3, Bl. 3, Sc. 1, Et. 3, Ap. 14, jud. Gorj, Romania (CUI: 49569964, J18/559/14.05.2021).

2. Service Description

Discount Alert is a price monitoring service that:

• Tracks product prices from third-party e-commerce websites via automated scraping
• Sends email notifications when prices reach user-defined alert thresholds
• Stores price history for tracked products

3. Account Registration

• You authenticate via Google or Facebook OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your Google or Facebook account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service (GDPR Article 8).
• One account per person. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent.
• You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

We offer free and paid subscription plans. For current plan details, limits, and pricing, see our Pricing page.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date via the Billing Portal.
• Cancellation: PRO access remains active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: 14-day refund for annual plans where the Service has not been substantially used. Contact contact@discountalert.shop.
• Prices include applicable VAT where required by EU law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for commercial resale or redistribution of price data
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
• Submit URLs with the intent to cause harm to third-party websites
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Use the Service in violation of applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, source code, and branding are owned by LICEPTIK LOGIC SRL. Price data scraped from third-party sites belongs to those sites' respective owners. We do not claim ownership over any scraped content.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for inaccurate price data or missed price alerts
• We are not liable for purchase decisions made based on Service data
• We are not responsible for downtime of third-party websites that prevent price checking
• Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the last 12 months

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU consumer law.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice to active subscribers, who will receive a pro-rata refund for unused paid periods.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law and EU regulations. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to your rights as an EU consumer under applicable local law. For online dispute resolution, visit ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes to Terms

We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you may cancel and delete your account before the effective date.
